Two of Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic’s experts hosted a lecture at a key running conference in Newcastle in October.
Chris Barrett and Evelyn McGee gave a presentation at the Northern Undergraduate Sport and Exercise Medicine Conference.
The topic focused on a running clinic case study, discussing the benefits of combined working to ensure running goals were achieved for a Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic patient.
The scope of physiotherapy and podiatry were explored to ensure GP’s and health professionals were aware of appropriate referrals.
The lecture saw NSIC receive some amazing feedback, including the following, from a conference delegate:
“The two speakers (podiatrist and physio) from Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic gave a great overview of the patient journey with their case study of an injured runner and really helped to explain the technical aspects of what they do in the process.”
