On Saturday, 9th September, the Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic attended the Barilla, Pasta Party as part of the 2017, Simply Health, Great North Run Weekend. In the massage tent we provided 65 massages to people who had either ran the Great North 5K event, or were running in the Great North Run the following day or both!
We also gave foot care advice to over 20 people and many others sought out the advice of our Osteopath, Sports Massage Therapists and Podiatrists on the day, we received the following feedback on the day or via our social media;
“Huge, huge thanks to the amazing therapist at the Pasta Party tent today who gave me a leg massage after I had ran the Great North 5K, who then ran around the event tent to find me after I had left my 5K medal on the Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic stand. I thought I had lost it!
Many thanks #GNRHero”
Kev Kickey – Great North 5K Runner
“Thank you to the team at Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic. Fabulous in every way, they have taken me on a journey to be pain free and enjoy all of the things I want to do, Simply the Best!”
Jane Core – 2017 Great North Run Runner
“The pre-race massage was on my calf. It identified a couple of tight reas, by the end of the 15 minute free massage, my calves loosened up and the pain I had been experienced had eased. I will go to the clinic for a post-race massage on Monday.”
Paul Graham – 2017 Great North Run Runner
“The therapist found the tight areas, didn’t over pressurise but was firm. I left feeling less tension in my hips and glutes.”
Philip Graham – 2017 Great North Run Runner
“Very relaxing massage, my back feels a lot less tense now. I would recommend the Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic to friends and family.”
